Hi all,
I thought you may be interested in this new book that has just been published!
…and I designed the front cover :D
It is a great cyperpunk novel …it asks readers to think about today’s environmental and political problems through socratic thinking.
Please share with all philosophers, environmentalists, technologists, political minds etc. THANK YOU!

It has a fun trailer but an important message ;)

Lapka is a personal environmental monitor that connects to your phone informing you of the unseen qualities of your surroundings.  Lapka includes four independent sensors which feed information to an iPhone app. They can detect invisible particles, ions, molecules and wavelengths in the air. This data is then fed to the app displaying analysis on radiation levels, electromagnetic fields, humidity and even the organic levels of your food – through analysing nitrate and pesticide levels.

So Cool! It is in prototype stage but looking forward to seeing it for real!

Magnetic Bacteria!

As they ingest the iron, the microbes create tiny magnets inside themselves, similar to those in PC hard drives. This could help researchers in the continuing quest of nanotechnology to make things smaller and more efficient.
They swim following the Earth’s magnetic field lines, aligning in the magnetic field like compass needles, in search of preferred oxygen concentrations.
When the bacteria ingest iron, proteins inside their bodies interact with it to produce tiny crystals of the mineral magnetite. he researchers copied the method and applied it outside the bacteria, effectively “growing” magnets that could in future help to build hard drives.
